Computer Operator is the post offered by Government of Nepal. Both local and central level vacancies are opened throughout the year by Public Service Commission (PSC) generally known as lok sewa aayog. Computer Operator post is of level 5 which is equivalent to Nayab Subba (Na.Su).
Objective of syllabus of Computer Operator
1. To be fluent in both Devnagari and English typing.
2. To have good knowledge of Operating system and its use.
3. To execute File and Disk management task.
4. To be able to use the several resources of computer. i.e Printer, CD-ROM, Multimedia etc
5. To be able to design and develop documents using MS-Word.
6. To be able to use Spreadsheet and conduct data processing.
7. To have sound knowledge about software installation and customization.
8. To conduct software and hardware security measures from possible threats.
9. To have sound knowledge about Presentation, Database and Web Designing.
Examination Scheme of Computer Operator
Computer Operator examination will be conducted in two different level.
First Level:
Guideline for Computer Operator first level examination
- It consist of Written test.
- Full marks for the test will be 50.
- Every questions will be objective and each question will carry 1 marks.
- 1 marks will be awarded for each right answer and (20%) 0.2 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- Time for this test is 45 minutes.

After the candidates has successfully passed the written test, the short listed candidates will be selected for Second level examination.

- It consist of Practical examination and Interview.
- Full marks for Practical is 50 and Interview is 20.
- Time for Practical exam will be 45 minutes.
