In Nepal school are either private or public. Both sector follows same curriculum prescribed by the Nepal Government, Ministry of education. Secondary level education is up to 12 class which was recently been modified. Click here to see new curriculum of Class 11 and 12. Annually central board SEE(Secondary Education Examination) held board examination for class 10 where as, NEB (National Examination Board) held board examination for class 12. Class 8 annual examination are given authority to local level. Rest other class annual examination will be conducted by respective schools.

Secondary Education Examination (SEE) i.e. class 10 board exam has great importance. As a preparation exam, PABSON (Private and Boarding School’s Organization Nepal) annually organise its nation wide pre-board examination one month prior to SEE board examination.
